Professionals: Book Study and Movement
Returning Home To Our Bodies

Service Description
This study will explore a body-based healing model that questions the myths we've been taught about the hierarchies of nature and the body. Abigail Rose Clarke's work offers a profound opportunity to reconnect with our bodies and challenge the narratives that distance us from our natural, embodied wisdom. The practice of somatics invites us to inhabit our bodies fully, fostering a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us. By addressing the hierarchies and myths ingrained in our culture, we open the door to a more inclusive and harmonious way of being. This study is not only an exploration of the book's content but also an invitation to shift our collective mindset and practices. Reading and Practice Schedule Each time we come together, we will discuss the previous week's reading and explore the concepts that arise in our conversation as the entry point for our lightly guided movement exploration—a chance to embody what arises and see where it takes us. Get curious about what's stirring within: Notice the sensations, thoughts, and feelings that emerge. Release what no longer serves: Let go of outdated ideas, patterns, or ideals to create space for growth. Welcome what is new: Open ourselves to fresh insights, possibilities, and pathways of support. Through this interplay of reflective dialogue and embodied exploration, we tune into the wisdom of our bodies and minds. Due to the specialized nature of these offerings, participants are encouraged to commit to the entire series to create an atmosphere of trust and cohesiveness and honor the container of our intentional group.
